As with all treatments, side effects may become present following the treatment process. The following are some of the most common side effects that clients can come across :

Swelling: There is a common and temporary side effect of mild to moderate swelling and In most cases, it subsides after a few days, hours or minutes depending on the treatment type.

Bruising: The treated area may cause some clients to bruise around the area of the treatment site. In most cases, this will resolve like most bruising.

Redness: It is normal for treatment sites to be red and tender for a short period of time after the procedure.

Soreness: After the procedure, clients may experience soreness or tenderness in the treated area.

Numbness: There may be temporary numbness at the treatment site when using numbing agents and this will subside.

Itching or Tingling: Itching and tingling may occur as the body responds to treatment around the treated area.

Localised Skin Irregularities: The treated area may appear uneven or irregular in some cases. In most cases, these are temporary and will improve with time.

Tissue Firmness: With some procedures, when the treated area is first touched, it may feel firm, but it typically softens over time.

Skin Discolouration: Hyperpigmentation or hypopigmentation of the skin may occur temporarily in some individuals for some treatments.

Allergic Reactions: There is a possibility of allergic reactions to treatments or its components, although these are rare. In case of severe swelling, breathing difficulty, or hives, you should seek medical attention immediately.

Before undergoing any treatments, clients should be aware of these potential side effects. Typically, side effects are mild and resolve on their own with time. If clients experience any concerns or unusual reactions after treatment, they should consult their medical practitioner.
